A Journey of Reflection: From Regret to Redemption
Sometimes in life, we go through experiences that really touch our hearts. Understanding the ups and downs of life makes me see the value in everything around me—living and non-living. Though I'm just a small part of it all at 26, I find it interesting how I can feel both old and young.
Back in middle school, we had 12 cows, and I used to hit them when they messed up the maize plants. But one day, I got hurt, and it made me realize the pain I caused those cows. Feeling sorry and foolish, I decided to stop eating meat. It's been almost six years as a vegetarian, and I'm proud of that choice—it feels like a big accomplishment in my life. Still, I can't help but regret my past actions; there's no way to go back and change the situation.
